starting to do a few improvements on an '84 Jimmy. Wondering if a bench seat from a new or newer chevy truck would go in without having to do any modifications, or just minor ones. Also, forgive my ignorance, but what's all this talk about "atf"? Whats the procedure? What is "atf".

Not sure about the bench seat...........ATF(Automatic Transmission Fluid) , when sucked in thru your PCV valve, is supposed to burn the carbon off your valves........I tried it, and so have a few others, with mixed results.

Click on the "Search" button on the black bar in this forum. Specify the 4x4 K5 field and put "atf trick" under the search by phrase. There will be plenty of reading
