anyone else trying to slim down a little? I am! I don't need to loose much. Damnit! I hate veggies! [IMG] And I'm so hungy [IMG]
    *takes another bite of carrot*

Anyway...anyone want to start a ck5 weight watchers group?

We should pick one day to weigh in and report losses/gains [IMG]

Sure, I could stand to lose a couple pounds, but who's gonna keep track on the internet? [IMG] [IMG]

Anybody could lie and say they lost 20 lbs. while chatting with the next person and they are eating a whole bag of Doritos at the same time.

What is your weight and how much do you wanna lose?

I'm not picking my nose...I'm just pointing at my brain!! [IMG]

I'm trying to lose about 80-90 pounds. I'm on the manly diet. High protein, low carbs, low sugar, low salt. I'm also starting to lift weights again. It sucks trying to lose weight, but I really have to, my health is good right now, so I need to do it before I get unhealthy.

    Diesel

Shouldn't it be called uncommon sense?

    Cool! we'll diet together!

I'm so bad about snacking so I got me some carrots. It fills me up but isn't 'fattening'. Gawd I can't believe I'm saying that! [IMG]

I dunno what my wieght is, my wife seems to have lost the scale since my son was born... I think she still has an awesome body, though!

I think I'm around 200lbs, 6'0 or 6'1", and I've been involuntarily slimming down! I've had too much work to do to each lunch lately (yeah, instead I'm cruising CK5)!! But when I do, I've been trying to avoid crappy/less healthy food...

But I've been there, Muddin! I spent a little time feeling a little overweight so did salad for months. There's a psychotic salad guy around the corner from my job that I used to go to. You select a large or small bowl of lettuce, and the guy adds whatever you want to it, then mixes it. They mix it like friggin nutcases, though, salad goes flying all over the place the way these guys beat the thing...

    Good luck with it!

I should try that! I get home at night and stuff my face with anything not bolted down! I also get heartburn from everything, so I pay the price later... I think carrots would be good for the heatburn too, though!

Some lowfat and lowcalorie foods that I've found that help:
Tootsie Rolls 0 fat about 5 cal each,Vanilla Wafers ,Junior mints, pretzels, pickles, Munch Em's, Baked Lays,
Cereal (even the sugared kind) great for a meal, soup(very filling and satisfying), baked beans w/ketchup, pudding packs, graham crackers, lofat milky ways, (when you MUST HAVE a chocolate fix!) and lofat Pringles mmm...salt! Of course everything in moderation. Hope these ideas help. I have been trying to lose too. I dropped 6 lbs. before the holidays, but we all know what the holidays do to us! Ugh! I'm trying to get my best friend to join the gym with me. I also decided that come Spring I am buying myself a pair of those Sketcher rollerskates. They look fun and way easier than rollerblades, I figured the fun factor will inspire me. We have a few paved bike trails around here which makes for smooth sailing! Besides from your pics you don't look like you need to lose any weight![IMG]
P.S. Kraft mac and cheese. Just add 1% milk and 1/4 of the butter. Tastes almost the same!
P.P.S. I'll do it with you guys too. Got to find a way to post our weight and loss without the whole CK5 community seeing it[IMG]

thats not food.... thats what Food Eats...

dieting never really works for me... getting my mountain bike fixed, and going 20 miles a day will tho... last time I tried cruising on my mountainbike, I sucked... I used to be able to get from my house, to school in 2 minutes flat (1 mile) and only be breathless for about 3 or 4 minutes afterwords... important stuff when you leave home with only 5 minutes to spare before band...

oh yeah, another quick thing... Celery is better for snacking, then Carrots... Celery actually has a Negative calorie content. your body expends more effort trying to digest it, then it gains from it ( what you expect from something akin to woodpulp, made mostly of water, and celulose?)

    just a quick headsup...

    but celery is icky! [IMG]

Michelle...everyone says that so I'm embarrased to say I'm 'dieting' cause then they'll think I've got a complex or something. [IMG]
See, used to I had a job where I was very active, then I had a horse so I could eat anything I wanted without any problems and I was always in shape. But, I had to sell my horse and I have a desk job and when I exercise I'm about to die after 5 min! LOL! I only need to just slim down a little...like 10 or 15 lbs. Then I'll be happy. What sucks is I'm trying to put on a little more muscle which weighs more than fat so I can actually be loosing fat and gaining muscle, but the scale only tells me that I've gained weight and not what type of weight. Ya know?

Ah well..it's good to know we can do this together [IMG]

My boyfriend, Leadfoot is in the same prediciment. He has been at his desk job for about a year too and was also very active prior. He used to be a Pepsi addict which is very high in calories. He's being a good boy and drinking water. It should help. I need to lose about 10-15 too! I don't go by the scale, I go by how my clothes fit and how I feel when I see my body. It is so hard though esp. when you are suddenly in a relationship and you do alot of the Saturday night dinner dates. When I cook for us I try to whip out the cookbook and get creative. Lots of shrimp dishes. I am a snacker too and that is hard to get over. I also have no willpower when it comes to someone at work bringing in goodies! I say "Hooray for us for trying!" I think by Monday we should have a plan and list of participants. I promise I won't lie about my losses. It wouldn't do any good to. BTW Celery and Carrots were put here on earth by the devil!
