JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - A state senator wants to force Missouri stores to sell warm beer. Under a bill by Sen. Bill Alter, grocery and convenience stores would risk losing their liquor licenses if they sold beer colder than 60 degrees. The intent is to cut down on drunken driving by making it less tempting to pop open a beer after leaving the store.....

Thats completely retarded...If you're gonna be one of those super inteligent types and drink and drive your not going to care if it's warm or not, infacvt I think warm beer gets you drunk quicker, at least from my experience...But how would I know???

it gets you drunk quicker because you drink it faster to offset the taste of warm beer.

    No Cold Beers???!!!

NO COLD BEERS? !! Man!...whats next??... No Wet Pussy?? ..
they are taking ALL the fun out of living ...:(

What if you have a few unexpceted guests arrive, and no beer in the fridge..what do you do,sit there 2 hrs and wait for it to get cold??...DERRRR...

Anyone with one brain cell knows better than to pop open a beer when leaving a package store around here..the cops sit across the street and wait for a car to follow,in hopes of cathing them with an "open container"..I live 2.3 miles from 2 stores,so I can wait until I'm home!..

Who let all the Nazi's in our senate anyway..every day they are trying to "ban" something.. ..we should ban senators who cant seem to stop staying up nights thinking of more ways to tax us,or which rights to rob us of next...

Yep. I kind of thought it was stupid. Read the article - it was a 5th graders idea. I suppose that's where we look for legislation now.

The thing that's really bad about that suggested law... some beers aren't pastuerized, which means they must be kept cold.

they should not sell individual beers cold if thats what there worried about. all cases of beer should be fine to be cold, but not individual ones. all to often i see guys go in grab one, walk out and pop it open...

:haha: That is some crazy stuff. Try this, warm beer.. place in cooler.... cover with ice..... spread a lot of salt over the top of the ice......it will be cold within 15 minutes........... if not more ice and more salt make it 20 minutes. Whoever that cat is must belong to the ice and salt makers union.

Salt makes the ice melt, but still the same temperature. Greater surface area of contact with the beer can with the water = more heat transfer = colder beer faster.

i know that, anyone whos seen the ocean knows that. its just theat the reaction of salt and ice creates heat. i guess not enough for the ice to overcome and cool quicker.
