If I remember right, it was sometime around the 23rd. I only faintly remember because I WON'T be able to make it. Kids start school the 19th. Bummer.

I don't even remember nailing down a date. One time it was Labor Day weekend, then we were thinking of changing it for the last weekend in August *shrug*

The 23rd is Friday and the 26th is Monday of course, does Friday-Monday sound good? Keep in mind that Labor day is the following week (not the week of this event) .

    Re: Moab in August

I just spoke with Four Wheeler magazine and they are intrested in covering the event, I will keep them notified as things progress, it is a little to far out for them to commit yet.
I also spoke with Garth from 4xvideo and he said he would like to cover the event for sure so it should be pretty cool, they do an awesome job of producing video's, I am looking at selling their video's as well so look for that soon.
Would like to nail down firm dates soon.

Thank's Steve, I thought that sounded right, I think we need to check with the redrock four wheeleres out in Moab just to be on the safe side. I will look into that now.

    Re: Moab in August

I just emailed the Moab chamber of commerce, if I don't here back from them by tomorrow I will call them.
Yeah, will do a sign up sheet, might even charge a small fee so I know who is serious, maybe include t-shirt or something. The reason for this is to avoid what happened last year (why2k5) over 100 people signed up 21 rigs showed, which was a good turn out but hard to plan on my end.

    Re: Moab in August

That is a good idea, just remember some folks will have every intention of making the trip but something will come up that will prevent them from going. So you may have to consider some kind of good samaritian refund or they get a Tee-shirt anyway....Just wanted to share my first thought.

    Re: Moab in August

I like the idea of a "MOAB OR BUST" attendance fee... this way I could get a cool shirt for the occasion, and help out Steve w/planning this event.

Good job on getting the media coverage too!
