What are you requiring us to have as far as equipment for the event...
    cage, recovery points, winch..???
I would love to go and plan on it, but I don't want to be a PITA to the group by not being prepared.

Okay, cool but I would rather "come as you will" cus if I came as I am now...I'd need 3 trailers to get all the pieces there[IMG]..That reminds me, I should go out and work on somethings[IMG]

I would say do a cage anyways so you are safe. Recovery points are deninatly a plus when you get stuck or arent right side up. I dont think a winch is required because I am sure there are alot of people with winches already.

You do cage work right??? You want to give me some pointers on the construction of one...
Not too many places have a cage for a willy's with blazer floor in stock...In fact I have never even heard of anyone doing a floor swap in one.
I just don't see how I can get what I want into the inside with out havening to weld it in the wagon, but then I can't weld 360* of the tubing.
I know I'm putting the horse before the cart on this but....hell I don't even have the horse yet

Yea I do the cage work. You really only need to go to the floor. THe easiest way to get it welded all the way around is weld the pipe to a 6"x6"x1/8" plate and then bolt the plate to the floor. That way you can get it really close to the body. You dont want to weld to the floor because it weakens the floor boards.

I have never been. This will be my 1st. I was told by a few who have gone, that Moab will find your weakest links. Every thing must be in good mechanical condition. I'm working on my upgrades.

    OK, come one guys!
There is NO requirements to go to Moab.
Of course if your truck is stock you will not be able to do the hard trails and if it's not in good shape you will likely be working on it while we wheel but if you use common cense you will be fine. Moab has a endless number of trails from easy to extreme so the choice will be yours.
The more you can have done to your truck the better type runs you can make. If the group that shows up there is as big as I think it will be, we will need to break up into smaller groups anyway so we don't have 30 trucks on one trai and get back by midnight. We will figure it out as we get closer but EVERYONE is welcome always.

Think about an exo' cage. With the narrower Willys body, a exo-cage would probably still be slimmer than a full-size Blazer. I dig the exo-cage thing.

Dig the Sig line too! - Laughed my butt off the first time I saw it...

I wouldn't worry... there will be plenty of Rock Rookies there. Myself included hopefully If I can make everything fit the schedule. Maybe one of the hardcore guys can take me as a passenger and show how the Big Dawgs do it. [IMG]

Not to make you feel wide but...I could run 8" tube on the outside and still be narrower then a K5[IMG] ..but I want an inside cage, easier for seat mounts, and helps tie in my floor swap too. Exo cages are cool on some rigs.

All youreally need are big b@lls and at minimum, u-joints,tools and whatever you think is your weak link(axles, hubs.)

My weak link is I have no motovation..that and no money[IMG]
But I plan to have axle shafts and u-joints, and hubs with me.
and even front and rear drivelines.
I think the 18 or so hour drive there will be just as hard as the trails,LOL.

Anyone need a passenger?? I wanna go, but the only requirements I'll probably meet is a car to get there and back in :P doubt I'll have anything that would make a trail (maybe my Subaru can do an extremely easy one lol) by then though :(

I there should be two requirments mandated. First you must have a C.B. and second you must have fun!!!!!!!!
