I'm pulling them both out for the summer and I cant wait. My '68 is a daily driver but I've got some new parts for it and the '71 is coming back from the shop and I can move on with the restore. I'm pumped! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It was a ten foot car. Its a tub on the frame now. I had the firewall smoothed out and needed new inner fenders and stuff. Having all of the metal in the engine bay painted the same blue as the rest of the car. I also needed to rebuild the 4 speed and replace gaskets and a few other things. So I decided to go all out and just redoe the entire thing sweet. Its a nice car. There isnt too many 454 SS 4 speed cars around. the '68 is just a Malibu and I drive it to work and stuff.

My uncle has a 1972 Chevelle SS,454,4-speed. /forums/images/graemlins/pimp1.gif It is all factory. He bought it new it even still has the factory tires. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif He has it tucked way in his shed with a car cover on it. He only drives it one in a blue moon. /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

    '69 SS Camino! Ouch.

my '68 was my first car. I remembered the stories my old man used to tell like "I wished I had never sold it..". So I never sold it. Man, I'm glad.

I like the sun roof on the camino /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Wish I never sold the 68 AMX (390 4-speed) I had in highschool. However, selling my 73 327 Vega Wagon is probably why im still here today. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

My friend had the Cardin. The Cardin interior was very cool. His was red with white stripes and nice rims. the one in this pic looks like a stripper.

I did the same to my 72. I liked the firewall, but I blasted all the yellow paint off the inner fenders and went with satin black. (IMO) The yellow in the engine compartment was over whelming. [IMG]

And now that the 454 is done and installed in the 71 , I can focus on getting the 72 running and painted by June. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Alot of people hated (and still do) the AMX. I dig it for an AMC product. Way under-rated and under-appreciated by the average person.

It would be in my "Top Ten." /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
