I just got my energy suspension body mount kit from summit. now the front mount, first one under the cab has a 3 inch hole and the poly mounts are under 3 inches so they just slide thru. did i get the wrong kit (3-4118G) or is my body mount bracket just rusted all to hell. ill try to post pictures later today.

On my 81 Jimmy, the hole in the body mount bracket on the frame is roughly 1 1/2" (its hard to tell with the body mount installed)
I would say your mount is "Rusted all to hell".

On my instruction sheet it showed which mounts went where...find the appropriate mount and you 'll see the 'right' size for the hole. I'd probably knock the rivets out and replace the body mount bracket.

I'm thinking it the rust because i just checked the radiator mounts and they fit fine. just strange how it rusted out to a perfect 3 inch circle. I just love these michigan winters, takes till may for all the salt to wash off the roads.
As far as replacing the brackets can i bolt them to the frame or do they need to be re-rivited back on. thanks

Grade 8 bolts should do just fine.

Wash your truck's undercarriage often in winter if you don't already. As well, grease teh heck out of all the bolts before you reinstall them, it will keep them from rusting up.
