More problems with my CUCV. They just don\'t stop....

I don't have my TM books anymore. Alternator one is putting out 12V and two is putting out 24V. When driving Alternator one light comes on and stays on. Shut it down it comes back on in a few seconds and so does the oil light. What the heck am I missing? I have checked everything I can think of. I am not getting anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mike

    Mike,
Not sure whats wrong with the number 2 alternator, but is should be putting out 12v. I'm sure you know this. I switched to a single a alternator 2 years ago and haven't looked back. If you need a 12v starter, i have one you can have you just need to pay shipping and rebuild cost.

Actually they both produce 12V but alt #2 will test as 24V (series circuit). Check your grounds, especially at the starter /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif I've had some wierd experiences.....
