Well, since this place needs some activity i thought I would post up a pic.
This was a solo effort (not RJ nad Stave endorsed.... :D)

This was fridays main course - 3 ribeyes getting a good sear before their medium rare exit from the grill. Yummy. And I have the originals in ~ 2200x1700 if you really need a desktop :pimp:

What do you like for seasoning? I like to use fajita mic and a LOT of garlic and sear it onto the steak like a crust.

We have 12oz sirloins in the back at all times. I eat em up totally.

When I use the griddle pictured I prefer a dry rub. And Friday night I did it a little different. I kept the rub simple since I wanted to use a little oil infusion to dribble on my meat after it rests.

    * Rub - 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp pepper, *make into paste with worcestershire sauce*
    * 1/4 butter stick melted and put in griddle right before steaks
    * oil infusion - 1/2 cup EVOO, 2 twigs fresh rosemary, 5 whole peppercorns, 3cloves garlic, place over lowest heat on stove for about an hour.

Careful if you try the infusion - I use less than a teaspoon for an entire steak (taste and try before you commit to the whole steak).

Also fried up steak the next morning with a bit of the leftover oil for steak and eggs . :D

    edit *added rub liquid*

Sounds pretty good. I usually only put Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper on My steak. Of course We get most of Our beef from Our familys property which is range feed and hung for as long as possible. The secret to a good steak is aging. Most steaks in a store are sealed air tight moments after death so they never get a chance to age.

I like them simple (salt and pepper) also.

Yes, aged is awesome but the aged filets I get are $30/pound!!

Humboldt County, 30 min. south of Eureka and probably 7 hr's north of You. I'm closer to Oregon than I am to the Bay Area (thank God).

Ah, I think I remember you - didn't you relocate to Humboldt County within the last 2 years or so? I think we had talked about wheeling someday..... Lost all my PMs during an upgrade. I know where you are - my home town is from Redding, have friends that live in Eureka and off of Lord Ellis Summit.

Actually I moved back home about 2 1/2 years ago. I think I remember those pm's:thinking: Anyways I'm not gonna be wheeling anytime soon, just had My little girl in January and I have yet to finish the rebuild of the Blazer. She comes first before the Blazer:deal: Or anything else for that matter.

We had our first in May - having a family cage built as we speak ;) Congrats and I am glad I made the connection with my rusty old synapses...
Did you post a pic in Shaggy's "Cut Kid Pics" thread? Someday I hope we can cook up a steak out on the trail!!

Sounds good to Me:thumb: I didn't post in Shaggys post cause for some reason I have been having a problem with posting pics the last couple of weeks. But there is one of Me and Her in the 05 Mugshot thread.
