Putting in a Vortec Big Block into my 77 stepside. Should be a pretty close drop in. I have noticed a few clearance problems. The exhaust manifolds are right on the frame rails and the oil pan hits the front cross member when you bring the t-case up to the frame with its cross member. Just wanting to know if any onw else has run into these problems and possible remedies.

The engine did come out of a 2WD. Did a little research and found out. I couldn't see the forest through the trees. Made a new cross member and I think it will work fine.
