Sure you guys have heard about this...but I'm like 1/4 mile away from where the attacks took place, I've done that trail many times too.
I was even eating lunch at the entrance yesterday from 2:00 to 2:45... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

For those of us who haven't heard the story, can you sum it up or provide a link?

Our house backs up to a greenbelt that connects with Pike National Forest, just a few hundred yards away. Mountain Lion sightings are fairly frequent around here. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif We make sure to NEVER let the kids play outdoors as dusk approaches. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif While attacks on human are quite rare, they are often fatal. Pound for pound the Mountain Lion is the strongest cat in the world. They're strong enough to take down a full grown bull Elk, so a human doesn't stand much of a chance against one.

So how does it feel to be on the bottom of the food chain /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
Cats aren't a problem around here. We shoot em and stuff em. Gives them a lot more respect for humans.
