Well we closed on the house today. All went well and we didn't have to put anything down ($$$) so that leaves us money to decorate and stuff. We spent the afternoon cleaning. It's too bad that people aren't required to clean their home when moving like we in the military do. It was a mess. We will have no internet access until Friday hopefully then we have to drive back to Delaware this weekend to get the wifes car and my tools out of storage, I don't trust the movers not to steal my stuff and didn't feel like going thru the hassle of having things replaced.
So, see everyone Sunday or so

NO K5ers close. Well, htere is "heavytlc" from pirate4x4. He just lives about 10 miles from me. All my moving stuff is being taken care of by uncle sam. All we had to do was get the place cleaned up

    All moved in now

WOW..I love the country life!! After so many years of living in military housing to now I have 1 neighbor 500ft (or more) away and one on the other side of the road and up the hill. Owning chickens are cool too. I think we have named all 13 of them already :) We've been swamped with cleaning and unpacking. I swear I will never move again

    Brian, your'e already turning into a redneck.....chickens:grin:

J/K Glad all is well with the move so far. I do know what you mean about living in base housing though. It must be so peaceful owning your own house and not having someone hovering over your property with a fine toothed comb. Take care of your self and get to Tellico ASAP, so we can see pic's!:)

Actually the chickens came with the house. I asked the guy to leave them and he said sure :) He said today that in the warmer months we should get 8-10 eggs a day...yummy. He just moved right across the road. We are gonna grow a HUGE garden this year too. He has the tiller and I have the land

Tellico is coming soon enough...April 22nd. I have a garage I can't use cause the K5 is too damn big :cool1:
It's cold out now and tomorrow we are supposed to get somewhere between 3-6" of snow the a good coating of ice on that

It was easy for us. I grew up with my grandparents raising chickens and the previous owner of this house already had the chicken house all set up. Basically just need to feed, water and collect eggs :D

For sure could use a bigger garage but we looked for 6 months before we found this one and we were just out of time but we all like it very much and I doubt we could have found anything better for the price and the area
