I'm from sherman but I'm in lubbock now missed me by a couple years. laketex should be back in the area (sherman) in june or so. he's got a post a few down. Don't know if he's still around but Michael "blue goose" used to be there but I think he sold his truck. look him up. both are cool guys to hang out with and very knowledgable.

not a bad area at all, hour to dallas, 2 1/2 to OKC, hour to denton, kinda in the middle of it all.

Yeah I should be back in the Sherman area around June. There's a pretty good size four wheeling community there. What are you moving to Denison for?

Exactly why i'm returning. Illinois is killing me on the same salary. Plus got a good job lined up. What do you do for work?

$10 to $12 an hour is doable in sherman...$15 is pushing it though unless you're in skilled trades. A lot of folks commute to Mckinney or Plano though daily and make some cash down in the dallas subburbs. When I left 2 years ago, there was a market for the little rice burner crowd I'd suspect...since there were so many of the little things zipping around. However, I dont know what businesses exist for them currently. That area is growing very rapidly and becoming more of a commuter area and extension of the metroplex, even as far out as it is. You might check at B-Line Manufacturing. I know a few people that work out there and I think they start higher than most and promote within. Another good one for that is Progress Rail. Good luck!

not far, well progress rail is probably a 20 minute drive or so.. depending on where you live, and b-line is on the border of sherman / denison pretty much

There's a few good weekend trips...Clayton, Disney, Gilmer, ect. Little mud on the oklahoma side of the lake in places...nothing hardcore that's local.

Yeah, but 360 is still dallas...aka 60 miles.

Whatever happened to Noconna? That used to be the up and coming hot spot right before I moved.

Nocona is ok. It has some good hill climbs. It is mainly geared more towards the rock crawling, or racing as the locals call it, due to the hill climbs with loose rock and ledges. The rocks are mainly of a sand stone type and break up, then move around. I would say that it is worth the trip for sure, but I dont know about going there too often. I am extremely spoiled when it comes to wheeling though, considering I have been wheeling out west for the last two years.
