    I mean the grass kind...
Looks like I'm going to have to be mowing sooner than I want to. I usually wait til the 15th, but the dam stuff is growing already. I like the smell of fresh cut grass, but I'm just not ready yet. Seems like it was snowing just a couple weeks ago.

    Hey Dave,

Don't cut too early or the first freak frost may get your yard. Let it grow a little before you cut.

I have rocks in my yard, a desert landscape theme. Water would be too much $$$ and the heat out here reaks havoc on grass. St. Augustine would probably be the only grass that might make it out here. I just don't feel it's worth the $$$. Although I do miss the smell of fresh cut grass.

Good maybe I wouldn't have to mow it as much.
I put about 600$ into my yard a few years with fertilizer, grass seed, and such. did it in the fall, and it looked great in the spring. was really pleased.
Then came the dam moles....after messing with them the rest of the year, I give up the next year...they were everwhere, so now I just mow whatever is there.

I mowed today for the first time this year. Of course, the yard looks like **** so it had to be trimmed down anyways.

At least it only took me 15 minutes to do compared to my previous home..............almost 2 football fields big at almost 3 hours to mow.

I mowed yesterday (Saturday) for the first time this season. I usually like to wait longer too but some of the grass was long enough that wouldn't stand up straight anymore.:doah: :D

With the mild spring we have been having I have had to mow twice already. Problem is I have not had time to redo the compost pile yet so now I have piles of rotting grass to deal with:(

So with the weather we've had since Wed. I guess I don't need to get the mower deck on the tractor real soon. Maybe in another week or two...Yeah.

Yeah, no mowing up here for a while either.
    It got cold.

I think it dropped over 50 degrees in a day this week.

I think the K5 will be staying in the garage for a little longer......

We've had crews out cutting R.O.W.'s for the past 2 weeks. And that was after letting some of it get to about 1' or taller. Of course this weekend we are supposed to get several nights of freezing or below and some frost. We better, I'm counting on the cold to take care of the rest of the nutgrass problem for me.:wink1:

I have mowed 3 times, aerated once, and rolled twice. Fertalized, seeded and weeded. It takes 2 hours to mow.
