None of these frickin' people on craigslist will call me back.

The only one I've actually talked to is an '89 3/4 ton Burb in Boulder. http://denver.craigslist.org/car/150007486.html Actually sounds pretty good. He wants a little more than I'd like to give, $2200. Everything works, including the AC. I'm thinking we could buy it and it wouldn't need any work done to it.

We might go look at it this Sunday. It's a little more than we were planning to spend up front, but like I said hopefully it wouldn't need any major work.

Do your self a favor and do NOT buy that rusting pile-o-crap. You'll never get rid of the rust without spending enough money to pay for a WAY nicer ride. Bodywork gets expensive fast and that rig looks like it spent part of its life in the rust belt. Working on a rig that has the entire undercarriage rusted into a single part just totally sucks. Run away!!!!

He told me the rust hasn't gone through the metal. :dunno: That's why I want to take a look at it. I can do some body work my self if it's not too extreme.

If the undercarriage is rusty, yes I will run away. Helping B_to_C work on his New England K5 has reminded me of that.

We lived in VA for a while and I bought a K5 there. It was rust city. When we finally retired the truck you could easily push a screw driver through the frame in the gas tank area. After that experience my wife and I have hated rust with a passion.

Yes and no. We are basically waiting to get our Pontiac GTP sold. We are also trying to see if we can work our budget so that we can keep and not need to buy something different.
