I have the MSD 6 Offroad Box, and I am going to install a tach this weekend. The MSD instructions said plug it into the tach port, but the 6 Offroad box doesn't have one. I think it is the grey/white wire that is by itself with its own weather pack connector with no other wires. Am I correct? I think it is that wire, but it is set up to be waterproof like the rest of the box so it doesn't have the tach port but instead the weather pack connector.

I already PM'ed Philly87, but I was wondering if anyone knew offhand.

    Thank

Hossbaby, I have the same box and yeah it's the gray one.
The white one is a lead for a points style ignition. Since you have HEI, this lead should be taped off.

Ya, the white wire for points is taped off, and I just wasn't sure if this wire was also white and just dirty or gray. Thanks for the answer. Now I can go install my new tach. I didn't want to install it without a positive answer because the tach says if you connect it incorrectly you void the warranty. Thanks
