my power door locks dont work. And sometimes you have to press the door handle button to be able to turn the key. Also if the door gets locked while inside you can"t pull the lock stem up(I have to roll down the window to press the outside button to pull it up) this is very annoying!

    Any ideas? Thanks!

Your door unlock mechanism is sticky. Pull the cover off, clean and lube up the mechanism, bet it goes away, mine did. Got sick of the old lady raggin on me about it so I had to fix it.

Yep my 84 is the same way. There was a post on this about a year and half ago with a lot of responses you might do a search on it and see about easy solutions. I just deal with as a matter of fact I'm so use to it I push in the handle before I even slap in the key. It's just a habit now.

yeah, mine does it too. If I try to open the door from inside while its locked, I'm screwed...I have keyless entry. so I don't worry about the key in door part.

My 84 blazer does this too,but I like it because it is a theft deterant. Also to open it from the inside all I have to do is pull on the handle and let it spring back real fast, this usually works to get the lock unstuck.

my power locks work, at least they kind of do. They unlock but won't lock, but thats just a connection problem.
