MY 1/4\" thick 14bff cover (pics)

    Well...
    Here's mine...
made from a 1/4 cold roll..

First...I gave a gasket to one of the Tool makers I work with...
He programmed the shop wire machine..
and did a bulk of the cutting... /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

Here is the cover flange being cut:

    Here's the pieces after cutting..

    Next...
I grabbed a piece of 2"x1/4" flat stock..
    and cut the sides..
I also drilled and tapped 2- 1/2" thick plates with 1/2" NPT...
    for filling and draining...

    After all the cutting...
    I carefully started welding...
taking my time so NO warpage would occur..

Here's the cover after some grinding...
    READY for ROCKS!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

You can say...I like the design.. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

    Thanks Joe... /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

    I thought of...even going..1/2" th..
But...I didn't want the cover to be to heavy..
so..I went with 1/4"..(It was FREE too)

    I've hit-it witha #20 pounder...
    It held-up well...
We'll see how it does on the rocks... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
