I gave my motor a little rebuild this past week. Had all the old chrome sandblasted, and then coated basically everything with high temp engine paint. Look's alot better in person, but you get the point.

Hopefully this weekend it will be back in my Bus.

Hey Eric what size is it? I know you have aftermarket dual port heads but I can't tell by the jugs what size it is.

    Here's some specs

1776 drilled, and tapped for external oil filter
    Dual 40 Dellorto's
CB performance 044 heads w/ matching intakes
009 (but going with a Mallory unit as soon as I get the cash)
Merged 1 5/8" racing header with Magnaflow muffler
    Stage 2 Kennedy clutch

I will get some pics of the bus when I get the motor back in. :p:

That looks like a lot of motor for that little red push mower...

Lordy, I think I could beat that with my old 12 valve cummins truck easily.

    In a pull-off that is:D:D

Nice looking setup - can't wait to see it in the bus.

Thanks for the parts BTW. Looks like the driveshaft will be a perfect fit after I change out the U-Joint

I think it looks great! I've always wanted to do that. Back when I had VWs I never had the time or money. :)

If you've never had an old air-cooled VW - you just won't understand. My 1962 karmann ghia was the coolest car ever

We've got a couple of those running around town, fully restored daily drivers. Always wondered what they were. :D

I had one of the beetles with the Rolls Royce grill and spare tire holder in the back. Now that I think of it that was a goofey looking car...
