ok guys, just tried out my camera adapter for my telescope this morning. here is a sample and you can click on the link below to view the rest. i took way more than these but I couldn't find my filter so those that my exposure was too long looked like a headlight instead a moon :haha: .

Those are great. Winter with it's low humidity will really be so impressive ones!

Pics look sweet! I really have to try that soon. We have a 10" LX200 and a few others that we want to try taking pics with. Problem is here in Jersey there is just too much background light. Have you done Jupiter yet? If not you should give it a try some time. I think that will be my first subject. Depending on if it is in the sky at the time!

the back ground lights aren't so bad in my neighborhood, only 2 street lights within several houses from me. I'm anticipating once a couple of the planets do "show" themselves. of course they will be in black and white since I don't have any color filters.

wow, a 10" scope should give you some awesome pics. I have a 4.5" short tube (get your minds out of the gutters! :haha: :haha: ) and the focal length will probably be my handicap. I'm hoping once I get all of the kinks worked out and get better with it, maybe the wife will let me order another scope :D .

if any of you want to save them for your wallpapers or for fun, be my guest.

Nice pics. When you take pics of the other planets make sure you post those too. And if I could make a suggestion, it looks like there's lint or dust on your lens, could you clean those off or does that just settle there while the scope is sitting outside.

yea, noticed the lint/dust after posting and down loading the photo CD earlier. will take care of hat pronto before my next excursion. I did some reading and found that the quarter moon shows more detail of the surface. not sure if this is true but will find out.

:haha: , RJ, we need to see if the Enquirer will buy that one!
