I got that same Blazer! It still has that stock crappy "jungle" camo pain though, I need to paint it. Can't figure out why the antena still is bent forward? Oh well.

I Have that K5! If you want the danged maroon and green jungle crap off Take a drill bit and drill the 2 little rivets in, dont go to far or it wont click back together. After you do that pull it apart and from there the interior will fall out and you should be able to pull out the window piece easily. After that just dip the metal body into paint thinner and let it set then wipe it off and paint the body the way you want it. You can also change the wheels I took the big ones off and put smaller ones on to be more like my real one. Its pretty simple and pretty neat when you get it done. You can get the matchbox k-5s from wal-mart and about any where else.

I like the big tires on my Matchbox K5. They rub the fenders, just like my real one! Thanks for the painting tips.

I had one of a 72 that I made to look like my dad's when I was a kid. I would love to find a plastic model of 81-91 K5 and make it look like mine. It would be perfect to try out mods on before spending the money on the real thing.

I'm from Ireland, in Ire, we too have clubs like this(CK5), except they're for subaru's or mitsu gallants, there are meets for such vehicles, and EVERY car, apart from a serious sound system in the back, each car has a radio controlled replica of their car, which they scoot around the meet hitting everyones ankles, hasn't that caught on in the US yet? when the meet's over, it sits on the back shelf for the guy aat a red light to see. These are BIG models

Anyone looking for plastic models, diecast oners or any other ones go to ebay then hobbies and crafts then there are some options every once in awhile you can catch a clodbuster r/c truck on there that already has a k5 body on it. I'm buying myself a clodbuster for christmas! They come stock with a k series pick up body on them and you can get tons of bodys for them. They cost a pretty penny but there damn near as much fun as 4x4ing the real ones! All kinds of modificationsfor em.

Espen - was that mustard or southern style potato salad? Seems to be a waste unless it's that crappy american style. What's with the Gin bottle in the background? Kinda inspired the "photo op", eh? Hee Hee!! (I'm suprised the pix aren't blurred!) LOL! The 'mato didn't have a chance to escape, did it? Or was that just another flex test?
