I am so fawking pissed right now I still don't believe it. I came to work and was working on my crossover steering and went to get the blazer from the side of my shop. I went out there and it was gone. I just put my 35 inch tires on three days ago. Oh I am pissed. I don't think I have ever been this pissed in my life. That was my baby. It don't look very nice but there was alot of good memories in there. My parents bought it brand new in 1973 the year I was born. So I have been around it all my life. I hope the fawker crashs and kill themselves in it because I had all the steering bolts loose and I mean loose and there was not shocks on it yet either. So I have drove around and look but I didn't see anything. I called the cops and they are now looking for it to. I have not told the wife yet but she is going to come on glues. Oh well sorry guys I just had to vent. I will let you guys now if it turns up.

$#@!... That sucks canal water! I know your pain... I only hope that they find the truck in one piece. At least a rig w/ 35" tires stands out so if they haven't boogied outta town hopefully you'll find it... definetly is possible someone just wanted to joy ride it... May want to try and contact the state highway patrol or troopers so they can watch the freeways. I really hope you get it back... Why can't people steal from someone who can afford it... Like the government or the IRS hahaa LOL [IMG] Very sorry to hear of your loss [IMG]

Man, sorry to hear about that. That really sucks. I'm thinking about installing Lo-jack on mine but it's so fricken expensive. Give us a description and post a picture, the guys here in Colorado will keep an eye open for it. They might try to part it out so keep an eye for parts in the paper. Let me know if you need a ride or something.

There are a few pics of Donovan's K5 on his web-site. I don't think it would be too hard to spot.

that sucks. sorry about your loss. hope you get it back.

i don't think about mine getting stolen, but i also realize if there is a thief around, my blazer is probably the easiest vehicle to steal on the block. i have had it broken into twice, but nothing stolen and all it cost me was 2 wing windows. i have done what i can as far as security goes without getting the south african flamethrowers installed. i got the requisite alarm system with the kill switch and also have a fuel cutoff. i figure i am 99 percent safe. if they want it, they will get it, but at least i can give them some food for thought.

The other day I woke up early to drive up to bear snowboarding ( ~3.00am ) and as I was walking to my truck I saw two guys VERY close to my truck, but one of them was underneath a cherokee with a tool ( looked like trying to cut battery cable ). They stopped what they were doing and we had eye contact for like 20 seconds. Man I was in pure DEFENSE mode as I had no idea what those fu kers were going to do. Then they got up and started running away. That is my worst nightmare DONOVAN. I am sorry that happened. I would never wish death on anyone but maybe years of scrutiating PAIN. I just recently got an alarm and I always use a club. I know that people can bypass those things but it helps my sleeping habits tremendesly. Sorry D.

Thanks for all the support guys. This really does suck because I had a lot of time in it. I know it was not very pretty but I had some serious time. What sucks is the spring rockers that was on the rear leafs was given to me by Chuck @ BC Bronco as a test vehilce. So now I have nothing and Chuck is out the Spring rocker and information. Oh well I will get over it and move on but know I am out $3000-4000. I have two little kids so every spare cent I get I try to put into it. So I guess thats what pisses me off. It took a couple years to get the money to gather. If you look at my website you will see it. http://www.rustbucket.coloradok5.com

Man, I feel for you. I hope you get it back. Problem is, if they took it to "joy ride", the joy ride may well have been to the middle of nowhere so it may take a while to find. Good luck.

Bad Dog hit on the head...I had my 83K5 and my Heep stolen the SAME NIGHT, a group of loosers go around, drop off the a-holes, and get trucks for joy rides. The Police found both a few days later in a familier 4X4 joy ride location. Be sure to check the popular 4X4 areas.....the thing with my K5 was the towing/recovery guy said my K5 was deeper (or further) than any unit found. The towing guy said he always finds 4X4 there. My K5 had scratches and was pretty good condition. I was amazed at how easy it is to "pop" a steering column and go. The good thing on my story was the wife makes me keep full coverage insurance, so it was a total and I purhcased it back cheap from the insurance company.
That brings up a post I made months ago about insurance. They wanted to use market value instead of what I felt/had receipts for. I now will have my K5 insured for a fixed amount that I determine. Check into it.
    Good luck Donovan-
