No kidding. He was always a little "different" while growing up. Bottom line-he is my brother, and I love him. I am not gay and have no interest in seeing naked men, but having a gay member in my family does tend to make a person examine the issue a little closer. I just don't understand what all the hoopla is about. What difference does it make in my life that my brother is married to a man??????

Shouldn't make any difference, too bad the world doesn't work that way.

I can't spend time hating homosexuals, or any other minority; I'm to busy hating the majority. STUPID PEOPLE.

yea, Jiminy feels like a brother to me too... :D :D :D

Seriously, though. It's his life, let 'em live it how he wants. I just ask for the same kind of treatment in return.

Issues look different when they live close to home

I have a gay uncle, who is, undoubtedly, the worst gay stereotype ever, and not in the fun effiminate flaming way, the "I'm sick and tired and hated and boohoo so mom wash my clothes even though I'm 48'"

He called me the devil once

    At A Wedding:

"Hi Uncle T______!, you look sharp!"
"You're the devil Shane, I really mean that"

Yeah, ok, go play with your cats. I'mma go find me a copy of "Leaves Of Grass" so I have a good example of a homosexual

Bingo! First for letting em live his life how he wants. Second for letting me live mine the way I want. I wish we could get those damn tree huggers to abide by this!! :-D

I'm sure it doesn't make any difference to you, but in this world, there are alot of people afraid of homosexuality because it is consittered as unnatural and a perversion. I have a relitive that is gay. Now it doesn't matter to me if he smokes pole or not, but his grandmother is so defencive about it. If you say anything with even a hint of anti-gay in it she will go off on you grandma style. The scarry part is with all the hate in the world, openly gay people are a target for assult, too get thier cars and homes vandelized, or even worse stuff.

One of my best friends came out of the closet a few years ago. It really will change your perspective when it hits close to home. Personally, I don't like it, but that's just cause it's not my thing. As long as it's not thrown in my face, I could care less. It's none of my business, and I sure as hell don't want to hear the details, but hey, whatever cranks your tractor...

I have a family member who hired a surrogate to carry his child. Wound up having twins. I just feel bad for the little girls because kids are mean!

My perspective was changed long before I found out that 2 of my family members were gay.It was when I was in high school and my friends decided they were going to beat this gay kid to death because of his sexual orientation,I had to convince them not too. Like somehow violently assaulting someone would be ok...

ok, so what is the point of this thread again? is this sort of a "coming out of the closet" for you?
