Was is hitting before? I wouldn't think a body lift would cause this problem, how about a bad motor mount or t-case mount? Have you done anything else to it that might have caused this (drop t-case, etc.)?

What he said, i was thinking the same thing, cause when I put my body lift on, it actually gave me more clearance for the cap install and removal.

lol, how far is it off?? i'd try hitting it with a hammer, and see if that gives you enough room? that's what most people do (if they need the room), that convert from points to hei.

well the bodylift and dropping the t-case caused the rotor cap to align perfectly with teh lip on the bottom of the firewall... I tried the hammer approace... I just cut about 1 inch outta it... works fine now... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now I'm 180 out.... motor just backfires through carb /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Well the body lift didn't do much except line up the lip but when you droped your Tcase, you tilted the engine backwards into the firewall.
That is why I don't like that aproach.
If going with more than a 3" suspension lift I go with a different driveshaft, either clearanced or high angle.

I had mine lengthened and I lowered the tcase to help the angle of my 6 inch lift... keep in mind a blazers shaft is already short.... and a high lift doesnt help..... every angle you can gain back helps...

You forget that lowering your tcase increases the angle on the front shaft which is even shorter than the rear.
I know it's not a full time use but it still will make it harder on the front shaft.

Good point /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Not to mention, just think of what it does to your motor mounts. I mean if everything is bolted up solidly and you drop your t-case, that just cranks down on the motor mounts.
I got away easy...when I lifted my /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif 4" I didn't have to get new shafts, or drop the t-case. (Thank you long driveshafts) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
