First of all I want to know if these are automatic hubs? Are they Ok for a stock application (sb305, I think, not sure about gear ratios though)? When should I consider upgrading to manual hubs, are they hard to install? And how much do they normally go for (ballpark)?

Manual hubs are realatively easy to install. You can pick up a nice set of WARN Hubs for around $60 (US).
