    yeah i bought an m1008 and it seems to be complete minus the motor can i but a gasser in it or would it be easier to just put another 6.2 in it ? thanks - Andy

    Another diesel would be easier but a gasser would be cheaper.

    If you cant find one local I would try Diesel depot as stated above. There shipping wasnt to bad When looked into it, but im also in CO not CA and there in GA. Also try searching the internet.

    I would rebuild the own engine. If you can’t do that self, let it do in a workshop, where you can watch this. That isn’t probably cheaper than a new engine, but you can learn something over your truck

    i would agree except it came with an empty engine bay man . no motor at all ......

    Used might be your best bet, most places like the diesel depot require a core.

    I bought a core 6.2L from a junkyard and totally rebuilt it for my '81 project.
