My gauges are all broke, why?

    i just bought a 87 K5, my fuel read full tank, my oil pressure is stuck at 60, my temp is all the way up. does anyone know why this might be, i tried looking for the fuse but i cant find it. and if its a bad ground, where would i find the main ground connection for the gauges? thanks, john

    I know you have allready looked for the fuse, but if it's not labeled I would pull all the fuses out one at a time and check them all. Or if you have the owners manual, maybe it will have it listed in there with a diagram or picture.

    Also check the plug on the back of the gauge cluster. Mine turned out to be only half way plugged in.

    The body ground wire could be your problem. Follow the smaller of the 2 wires that come off the NEG terminal of the battery, it should bolt to the body not far from the battery. The bolt could be loose of the wire could be frayed.
