So I lifted up my rear end to take the rims off ,to inspect brakes and all that happy good stuff . Then my floor jack decided to take a dump on me  O well its a 16 year old 3ton hydrolic floor jack it's time was due.

I had my passenger side on a jack stand and was working on the drivers when it wouldn't lift. So im stuck with a tire off on a jackstand

Same thing happened with my Craftsman 3 1/2 ton jack.. damn thing is not even 2 years old, it dumped oil when I was trying to raise the gas tank back up, after swapping around my ORD shackle flip to make room for my 56s last January. I bought a Harbor Freight 3 ton and finished the job. I gotta send the Craftsman out for a rebuild someday.

Perfect time for a reminder to everyone not to use the jack by itself without stands for supporting the vehicle...

Yeah. My dad has a Craftsman jack that his buddy brought over and wanted him to fix. It's pretty screwed up. I guess it needs rebuilt new. It's in very good shape too. Looks almost new.

From Harbor Freight? Mine was $70 also... The Craftsman was $130 and both jacks are made in China. :doah: Go figure!

I got the 4 tonner. It has that fast lift feature, where one pump gets it all the way up. Then additional pumps lift the object. Its nice, just placing the jack once, not havind to move it cause pumping the handle up and down moves the whole jack.:D
