I just got these today.Pretty freakin bright. They replace the 1157 bulb and will last like 22 years if they stayed on constantly.
They just slide inbetween the tail light housing and the lense.
I got them from GMC Pauls truck Parts(about 1/3rd the way down the page)

This is how it would look with the park lights on

And how it would look with the brakes on.

Are the LED's red, so they would be red with clear lenses?

    Those look cool!
When it is just on as a running light (foot off the brake lights on) does it just turn on 1/2 the LED's or does it turn on all of them nut at a lower setting?

just hit the link you provided and they were $120.

A little spendy, but worth it if it will keep these cell phone using soccer moms aware that other people use the roads too...

Ya they are red LED's.I hear they look cool with clear lenses(not a clear lense kind of guy myself, but to each his own I say).
When the LED's are off they are clear.Like this.

All the lights light up when the park lights are on,just half as bright.

When the brakes are applied, again all the LED's light up only at full brightness.

This is the back of the insert.Even comes with an 1157 pigtail.Truely a "plug-n-play" unit.

I talked to GMC Paul and he said he was doing some updateing to his site(new products page) and had mistakenly uploaded an old page with the old prices on it.He said it was like that since last Sat. and if I had ordered them then he would have honoured the price but they were $120.00 when I ordered so I'm S.O.L.,I still like them though. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

they look cool, so is it just a bunch of LEDs put together on a PCB board or is there any other circuitry somewhere. I wonder how many amps you're pulling?? Could you take some closeup shots of the circuit board??

    ARQ.
