I already have a new hood for it, motor+tranny swap coming soon. New paint once the hood goes on. Installing some poly motor+tranny mounts, and a better clutch.

Yeah pretty much. Trying to resist the urge to drop the 3400 V6 we have at the shop in it :(

I blew the engine up today.

So much for that idea. Just means the motor swap is coming sooner :)

It was knocking real bad near the #1 intake valves.

    Yeah, no kidding.

There I was driving down the road at 55 MPH..... shudder shudder, bang! pow! and I see chunks of the engine flying in my rear view mirror.

Pulled over to the side of the road, bleeding oil all over... walk down the road to see what fell off. Looks like a chunk of the block and timing cover or something, and some scraps looking like ****ed up rocker arms.... ::Shrug:: won't really know until I pull the engine out.

Nice learning experience though, I've never disassembled an OHC engine before.

    I've got a 3.4 V6 in a 2000 Olds Alero and it does okay.
