i had found spider out side our porch a couple months ago, a little guy, and i saw a moth, so i threw the moth in the web, now every time i see an insect, i feed Mr. Spider, he's gotten pretty large, and even had a girl friend once! i've fed him moths, little hard shelled insects, what ever i found, he always took them, but today she "cleaned" the porch up and swept him away :doah:  now i dont know where he is or how he's doing :( i hope to find another spider friend soon though

My friend kept a wolf spider he found in a jar once, till it got to about 3/4 of an inch (body) and died. Creepy. I hate spiders.

We had a garden spider that got to be about 3 inches across that lived on a web between the front steps and a yucca plant. He stuck around for a good month, but Hurricane Ophelia was the end of him.

I'm sure another spider buddy will show up for you.

Years ago, One of my co - workers at the foundry kept lots of hamsters, so naturally we made pets out of the mice that ran amok at the shop.. we'd take pieces of angle iron, and make little pens for them just outside the mouse holes in the wall. We'd leave food for them, and grow 'em big.

Adopt -a - critter.. it's the right thing to do.
