Starting to transition my time and money into moving to north carolina in a few months (I hope) and im wondering what the lift law's are like and will the popo nail me every chance they get? i know PA and MD suck for that.

id like to keep my jimmy on the road if i can, but no biggie if i cant.

whats your impression? Are they tough? Even if its a set law do they let you get away with it?

i know maryland police are almost to the point where if you have oversized tires they wanna nail you for that.

On the books, it says no more than 6" variance from factory without written approval from the DMV. But here awhile back, a guy running a 12+3 on 49" IROKS, ran over the front of my buddies cherokee, cop didnt say a word about the lift, just gave him a ticket for the wreck.

Yeah, ive never seen or heard of the cops in nc pulling anyone over for being too big. I daily drove my truck on around 6" with 37's for two years, and never had a problem. Where ats in nc are you planning on moving? We have a very pretty state, mountains on one side, cities in the middle, beach on the other. :D
    BTW- Did I mention Tellico?

You wont regret comming here. I have been to many different states, and while all are beautiful in their own way, I wouldnt even consider living anywhere other than in NC. I grew up in Greensboro, which is in the piedmont area in the middle of the state. It was nice there, not too hot, not too cold, not too much city, not too much country....yadda yadda yadda. I am currently living in Boone, which is on the far western edge in the Appalachian Mountains. Very beautiful up here. Our beaches are amazing. Especially places like ocracoke island, hatteras, the beaufort waterfront, and salter path. I eventually want to live on the coast of nc, probably somewhere around morhead city. Here, ill show you some pics that I have snapped up here in the mountains this past year....just so you can see if you may like to vacation here since your living on the coast...
