People don't have a problem pronouncing my name, just spelling it. Even people I've known for like 10 years still get it wrong. Hell, my grandpa spells it wrong once in a while. It's JONATHAN REDING.
    I get this:
    John Redding
    Jonathon Redding
    Johnathon Reading
    etc.

OOOHHHH yes. I work for a small company that was named after someone who is now retired and has been for several years. I have people come in and call me by his name all the time which is Gene my name is Nick. The really stupid thing is I wear a uniform shirt that has MY name on it. What do people think I'm wearing someone else shirt?

Most people misspell my first name, Bryan. It is always either Brian or Brain. EVERYONE either misspells my last name or mispronounces it, Schoch. Who can pronounce it right? First one gets a big thumbs up!

    Esch is from....?

[/ QUOTE ] pronounced esh, A shoe cobbler from Luxemberg, My great great grandfather, the story goes something like this....Kaiser Wilhelm wanting to get going on the whole "world war 1" thing, ordered thousands of boots from said cobbler, my great great grandfather thinking he'd struck it rich accepted the offer but when his wife found out she packed their bags for America.... So this is why I'm not a rich shoe maker from the smallest country in the world...LOL /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
