The Daytona 500 is a week away. I created a league for those of us that want to play the the fantasy nascar game like we did last year.

As the reigning champion of last years Colorado K5 Nextel Cup Fantasy League ( only because BNC04 didn't earn points the last race:doah:) I see it only fitting that I be allowed to defend my crown.

    Im in

BTW thanks for setting it up and reminding us about it..

Laughing,, For those that have never done this before,, It is pretty simple,, As the season progresses, the amount of points that each driver is worth will change depending on how well they perform. Once you pick a driver for the race, if he does well, his point value will go up for the next race. However, since you have him on yur roster, you will get to keep him and only be charged for the points that you initially signed him up with. Keeping this in mind, The real trick to success is to try and find a driver that is kind of new and does not cost you alot of points, get him signed up early and stay with them. That way you only get charged your initial points and he may end being worth twice that after several good finishes.
A word of caution,, ( pun intended). If you decide to switch out that driver as explained above and then want to switch him back in... You get charged his full point value so be careful about that. Biffle took me a long way last year.
Another word of caution, don't drink before the last race of the season and then screw up so you get zero points for the last race.. cfurtick,, Game on,,, lol ...
Good luck all, It makes watching the race a little more personal and fun.. I had a blast last year. We have 10 signed up now.

OK, im in. This is my second year at this so I have the hang of it now. One question, when I logged in I had a different username (klever0 entry), one they assigned, instead of the one that I had(k5monsterchev), anyone know how to change it, I dont see where to.

It did that to me also,, Must have been some sort of default. I just overwrote it on the original signup and got my real user name back. I think if you go to the area where you pick your drivers, and click on "edit entry settings" you can change your user name which is actually in the "location" area. I have not dodne this but it looks like what you may need to do. HTH

We have 14 now,, One last bump before the race today. It should be a good one if the Busch race was any indication. Good luck to all.

Is ESPN's website always screwed up?

They want me to "use the universal login at the top of the page", and everytime I log in, I keep getting the set up instructions but not my account.. I wanted to see how everyone did today.

Their message boards weren't any help, and some others had the same problems I did.

    Anybody else have a problem?
