It's business. It makes perfect business sense. If I owned a store in a town near the border, I'd take pesos too. Many stores here in MI will take Canadian currency, and when I travel to Ontario, most places there take the USD. Just makes it simplier that's all. It generates more revenue for the busniess. Nothing wrong with trying to make an honest buck.

Now if the government passed a law saying they had to accept pesos, that I'd have a problem with.

    Business is business.

On the border, I can understand, but this is a nationwide pizza chain. And even if it was just the Dallas restaurants, 400+ miles from the border is a bit far to be considered a "border town".

I couldn't care less. If some business wants to take cow turds or fingernail clippings as currency that's their business.

My only problem with it is that a it is 10.97 Mexican Peso's to a dollar right now, so if I paid in Pesos I would feel like I just had a $200 pizza.

Isn't most of the currency flow in a southerly direction anyway? I can't imagine there's whole lot of pesos up here. Seems like the problem is all the cash that crosses the border. The more that gets spent up here the better.

    Check out their website.

    http://www.pizzapatron.com/

I've never seen anybody other than hispanics working there. Just seems wrong to me, even being half hispanic. They usually stick to the more ghetto areas of town, at least in San Antonio.

I see where they're coming from, they're trying to make it easier for the Mexican Nationalists that flock over the border to the huge oulets in San Marcos by letting them pay in their national currency. Really no different than when you go to Mexico and they let you pay in dollars....but I do understand where you're coming from.

Good idea, few few places in the state will take Canadian money, some will near canada but most will just look at you funny like your trying to can them or somthing, everyware in Canada takes US money most places even have a conversion % on the menu.

If this is your big worry no wonder thousands of illegal imagrants are coming across, too worryed about atm languages and pesos

    Yep

I'm just as frustrated as the next guy about the problems surrounding the issue of illegal immigrants. I don't know where I come down on this particular issue, frankly I don't know that it matters what currencies are accepted.

Don't get bent out of shape - just be accurate. :wink1:
