    Need 1.5\" lift up front

How can I gain another 1.5" of lift up front? I saw tuff country sells 1 1/2" lift shackles but I don't know whether they will lift 1 1/2" or just 3/4". They call them 1 1/2" lift shackles. But if they will only give me 3/4" lift how else can I get the other 3/4" lift? I was planning on running 1.5" blocks in the back under my 4" springs for 5.5".

Heres the shackles I was gonna get.

i would call and ask..but i believe the theory on shackles is, the lift is roughly HALF of the total extra length over stock..

I'd do a zero rate and a 1" longer shackle.

The ORD shackles say their a 1/2" longer than stock, does that mean I will gain 1/2" of lift? I have heard their 1" shackles but they say 1/2" on the website.

the ord heavy duty shackle will give you about ¼ inch and a zero rate will give you an inch. if you went with 1 ½ inches in the rear and the 1 ¼ up front it would only be a slight rake(this assumes that you are setting level now). i think it would look fine. you need to look at the disadvantages of going with a really long front shackle. do you plan on a d60 anytime? this will give you ¾ from jump.

Not planning on going with a D60 unless I go above 35" tires which I have no plans right now to go any bigger. If I went with a long shackle could I use angle shims to bring the pinion angle back to normal?

Yeah but if you get too crazy with shackles and pinion shims, you'll either spit the shims out if they break and that'd be highly unsafe, or your truck will like to wander from the long shackles.

Sounds like I need some zero rates and some little bit longer shackles. But the question now is who makes shackles that will give me an actual 1/2" of lift? I think the ORD shackles are only a 1/2" longer than factory and will only give me 1/4" of lift?

So are they still safe to use after you raise it past 1"? I guess I would only be adding another 1/2" but if I could use 1 1/2" zero rates then that would be cool just as long as they would be safe.
