I've got a 12 bolt that I'm building up and I need a diff carrier for 4.56's. It's got 3.08's in it now and I want to put a Lockright in it so I need an open carrier for the new gears. I went to the dealer and they told me that they never made an open diff for the 4 series gears, they all had posi. I'm having a hard time believing this. If anyone has a parts catalog and can give me the dealer part # for the open carrier I would be very grateful. Thanks.

I may need to pick your brain a little later on this. I'm going to upgrade from 3.08 to 4.56 gears in my 12 bolt shortly. Mine has a gov locker in it which I plan on keeping right now. All have said that all I need to do is get the thicker ring gear.
