need a hand doing a compression test

    anyone down to do it? I want to find out how my motor really is, and see if it worth dropping a new/better one in. let me know

    You've got fuel injection. Search for ALDL. There's a program you can download for free and instructions on how to make a data cable. You plug it into a serial port on a computer (laptop) and it'll give you all that stuff while you're sitting there with it running. Best tool EVAR!

    really, ALDL will tell me the compression? thats pretty sweet.

    you are better off dropping in a new/ newer motor. you need rings in your current motor thats a rason why its smoking. remaned ones are 1200 outta summit. there are cheap ones on ebay too.

    well, I`ve been told by multiple people that it may not be my rings, that it could be worn valve guides, seals, etc..

    Ok, I was told that it wouldnt give me my compression :confused: :confused: :confused:

    valve seals usually smoke on start-up. if it smokes while driving around then I would say bad oil rings.
