I have a 1976 k5 with 6 inch super lift springs all the way around.

I have been looking at ord, and a few post and all the pics

I can get my hands on, but im still fairly confused.

What i was thinking was cutting off all fac mounting brackets, and building me new springmounts, adding a couple inches.

    Will this work?

My stock places ( dont know the tech name for them )are rusty, and prob wont hold up to alot of flex.

What i was thinking is if i have to replace them, why not replace them with lil longers ones.

I have they make shackles to lower trucks, can this same process work on lifting?

All im wanting is at the very extreme most 3 inches
any suggestions on what i can do /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

Can be dangerous if done wrong I would think. Also angles for drive shafts to think about. You might be better off to just fix the rust problem, and think about a 2 or 3 inch body lift. Personally, I'm planning on doing some fender trimming. I've got a 6" lift, and am going to 38" tires. So I'll be a doin' some fender trimmin' instead of a more liftin'. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
