I know that you would like to sell your stuff, but go with your first gut instinct. From the US lives in london being sent to Nigeria, and wants email address. very suspicious.

Anything to do with Nigeria is a scam. I feel bad for the legit Nigerian businessman.
She's probably either stolen a paypal account, wants to somehow steal your paypal account, or wants you to ship her a laptop, and payment will turn out to be fake or fraudulant in some way after you've shipped it, and you'll be SOL.
If it's even a she. It's more likely a small team, or gang, of pro con artists that do this all day every day as their "living".

Ignore the email... Unless you want to mess with them... In which case, reply through a different email account so they're less able to attack your ebay or paypal account...

This is a new one. It reads like the typical scam, but I haven't seen any involving Paypal. I wonder what they're up to? I understand Paypal treansactions are final (but I've always questioned if your own bank would stand behind Paypals policy).

I wish someone could play this one out to see what happens. But, it would be risky since we don't know what their plan is. This isn't like the P P P Powerbook deal where it was a known scam.

Try a search on Google for Paypal scams. Let us know what you find out about this.

    1) Set up a PayPal account. Make sure that it is not linked to anything with $$ (get a free bank account and zero it out). Send her the address. Wait for the money. :ignore:

    2) Or Run Fast, Run Far. :D

I don't think that we really need a poll on this one.

Yah, good idea... Just watch out and take a long time to do anything. And ask paypal and your bank a lot of questions about everything you do with them, like "How long does it take the money to be non-refundable", etc.
Those cashier check scams seemed totally legit (even if suspicious), and you go through it and say "Heck, it's real cash in my hand, it's all good", but 3 days later the bank discovers the check was fake and nails you on it.
