I have an 89 Heavy half GMC p/u(1/2ton with a light 3/4ton rating with the 14SF rear 6lugger)... Anyone know how wide it is from WMS to WMS? I wont have a chance to pull the wheels soon and needed to know.
I may swap in a 14FF and need to know if I should go with a regular width 14FF or a van width... Just by looks, this newer body style looks like the axles are a little wider.

    Thanks!!!!!!!

    Here you go:

    Houseing: 14-bolt semi-floater 9.5 inch ring gear.
    - 65.5" from flange to flange with the drums installed
    - 47.25 from spring bolt to spring bolt (across the axle)
    Shafts:
    - .194" (5/16 ?) C-clip, thicker than the 10-bolts.
    - 33 -spline
    - 1.376 dia at the spline.
    - 1.703 dia at the machined wheel bearing surface
    - The shafts taperd in steps, 1.376 to 1.420 to 1.650 to 1.703
    - 4.5" center hub dia.
    - 8-lugs on this one

The truck I measurd from was a 2000 C/K body, (4wd IFS) 4-doors and a short-bed. SBC and 8600 GVW. A bit of an odd option package.

Thanks Twiz!!!!!! Other than being an 8 lugger I can see that there is a difference in the center hub diameter as the 6 lugger is around 3.5"....

I am trying to see which 14FF best fit my app. as I may get the one I have machined from Donovan to turn it into a 6 lugger... I'll measure up my 14FF tonight.

    Thanks again Twiz!!!
