502, what size/type tubing are you using? Are you running a bushing in the outriggers? Cage looks SWEET! The wiring looks like fun [IMG].

    502Burban-
Did you have any interference problems with the fuse panel on the drivers side when you went through the dash with the cage? That has to be a tight fit? Looks great!

    Check out my pictures:

Thanks, BIGJ! The tubing is 2" for all the major tubes, 1.5" for the smaller tubes in the roof section and 1" on all the jumpers. AFAIK, the tubing is DOM, although I admit that when I had it built I didn't know much about that stuff and it could be HREW for all I know.

All the outriggers are mounted with urethane bushings and Grade 8, 1/2"-13 bolts with nylock nuts.

Yeah, wish I'd moved the wiring out of the way before taking the photos. [IMG] Oh well, it really isn't as bad as it looks as it's a Painless Wiring harness. They are all color coded and pretty easy to wire up. Should be fun though. [IMG]

Artist is right! Very apt description of a local guy named Bob Neibert. He does beautiful work, I think. The cage wasn't cheap, but I believe that (most of the time) you get what you pay for. I didn't have access to a tubing bender, and can't weld well enough to be comfortable with undertaking something as crucial to survival as a complete cage. Rather have an expert do it so my family and I will survive the potential rollover. I can say that I don't regret the expense one bit!
