need downloading help

    anytime i try to download a file (movie) from a website it wont work.

    if i left click it downloads some sort of dat file that wonk open.

    if i right click it the save target as... option is not highlighted EVER.

    i when to internet options and selected anything haveing to do with downlodeing and nothing will work.

    i even tryed to use one of those downloading programs and it will still only download some sort of dat file.

    Try renaming the .dat file to whatever type of file it is. e.g. if it's a program change .dat to .exe. If it's a movie try to find out what format it's in and change it to .wmv, .mpg, .mov accordingly.

    tools-- internet options-- security tab-- click on custom level-- change downloads, file downloads to enable

    that is exactly what i did!!!
    i enabled everything that said download i dont get it.

    and as for what link, any like any file will not work. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif
