need help determining new lift (4 inch and 37\'s?) *PICS*

hey, i took 2 of the 6 springs out of the front pack, i removed the 2nd and 3rd from the very bottom. I left the bottom one on because i would have ran out of thread on the u-bolts. So now i have 3 large leafs up front and one tiny one about a foot long) Anyway i'm trying to acheve a 4 inch lift. And i just wanted to know what it looks like it's at now. Thanks guys.

FYI the rear has no shocks on at the moment, the bed is full of 8 rims and other parts and it has 6 inch blocks on.

i see you cut the bulkhead of your garage so you could fit the truck underneath.

looks good, but also looks like your fenders are gonna need a trim if you go offroad.

It still looks a bit high for a "4 inch" lift. Did you think to measure before and after?/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It could be I'm just used to seeing 39.5's with a 4" lift...

We had to trim the fenders on mine. We have 3" with 37's. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Have someone w/ a 4" lift measure from the top of the axle tube to a specified point on the frame and compare that to your numbers. This will give you a more accurate comparison because there are too many variables when measuring from the tires to the body. I'd do it, but my truck is 40 miles away right now. If you don't have any responses by this evening I'll measure mine and post up what I get.

Search out pics of 1-ton rigs w/ 4" lift and 35"/36"/37" tires, there's lots on here to compare with against yours, but for what it is worth, you seem close but may still be a tad taller than a 4" lift.

    Later,

    Lance

I measured from the top of my axle tube to the bottom of my bump-stop mount and found approximately 14".

    Hope this helps!
