I just picked up a sweet complete besttop for my 71, complete except directions.

What do you guys have for tips on installation?
Like how did you know where to put the snaps?
Any other tips would be great also!

I put an old Kayline snap top on mine without directions. I started with the windshield frame and laid the top over it. do it on a warm day after the top has been in the sun.

I started in the center making sure I had the same amount on each side by the doors and I put the front snaps about 3/4 of an inch up from the rain gutter and checked to see if I had enough to go onto the tailgate. I did the snaps one by one starting at center then one to the driver's side then one to the passenger side. You can use either screws, which is what I did, or some people use rivets to attach the snaps to the vehicle. A little time consuming but it came out good. Same with the tailgate snaps.
