Need Help picking out my first K5

Discussion in '1973-1991 K5 Blazer | Truck | Suburban' started by **DONOTDELETE**, Jun 29, 2001.

I'm about to buy my first K5. It is a '79 model. I was wondering if anyone could tell me specifics (good or bad) to look for before I purchase it.

Body... Body.... Body.... No matter where you are these things tend to rust out... especially in the back floor pan area by the tailgate.... also take a good look at the rockers. Most body work and paint to fix the above items can come to more then an engine and tranny combined. If the body is in good shape and it runs good/shifts good hopefully it will be worth any money you need to stick in it.
