need help with 60 swap

    can i still use my current drivehaft up front? what u joint should I use? got a d60 front out of a 85 dually it is going in a 79 shortbed that was converted to 3/4 ton already, what about steering,draglink, arm, the truck has a 6" lift? thanks need help

    <font color=blue>The driveshaft and steering parts will bolt up. You may or may not need to change the brakelines

    brake lines will match up, the driveshaft should also. You will need a 4" D60 steering block. the rest of the steering will work. I would sugest just going to the x-over. I am VERY sorry that I didn't.

    The dana 60 steering arm will work, not yours. As for brakelines, if you have a 10 bolt up front, they will work, if its a dana 44 they wont.

    i had a D44 up front and mine worked fine...

    D60 has a longer pinion you may have to shorten your front shaft if it is close on distance. I had to take 1" out of mine.

    Don't the front hubs from a dually application make it the wrong width for our rigs?
