Need suggestions for finding a brake light problem on my '90 Jimmy. Left brake light has quit working. I replace both rear brake lamps, pulled the housing and checked the wiring, traced the wiring along the frame all the way to the cab and found no problems.

Any suggestions on what to check next? :help:

Make sure you stuck a good bulb in it. Then if you know you have power back to the socket check your ground circuit. Make sure the socket isn't rusted also.

The length of wiring between the tail lights and the juinction block on the firewall was where I had a dead short a few months ago. Combined with a damaged fuse block (the fuse didn't blow, it melted) I had a meltdown and almost a fire under the dash.

I never did find the bad part of the wiring along the frame...I ran some new wire.
