So i have my Eaton (69 chevy 3/4 ton rear end) rear end all apart and have a locker ready to be put in it but I went to my friends auto parts store and he could only come up with one kit for a Ring & Pinion instal kit and the price was $590.90 that is for 2 carrier bearings, 1 pinion bearing and, 10 shims, and 1 crush sleeve. So what I was wondering dos this sound right, I know that this rear end is old but come on $600.00 just for parts, Dos any one know about any places that sell these kits cheaper, Any help would be appreciate, thanks max

Do you have the load bolt on the side of the housing for the pinion bearing? That will change the price of the kits. Also tell me what your looking for exactly. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The Pinion kit come's with, 2 bearing's, and one Race.
The Race is for the Pinion Bearing's, [a matched set from the factory]. Brand name "Timken"

All You need is the Carrier bearing's, available at Good Bearing House's, and the Rear Pinion Bearing, [ a roller ] type with a cage. It support's the "Snout" of the Pinion Shaft."Timken Bearing's" and a CR Pinion Seal

    and a few Shim's.

I've got all the part Number's if You want them.
