Need help with my ipod asap!

    Well my 60 gb ipod got stolen from the glove box of my jeep:mad: I bought an 80gb and cant get it to work. Ive tried everything i can think of.

    I backed up all my music files and unistalled/ reinstalled itunes. I cant get my computer to reconize my ipod. The computer will beep when i plug it in but does nothing else. it doesnt shopw up in itunes or anything. Help!!!!!:crazy:

    My girlfriend had that problem with hers a few months ago and had to send it back to Apple.

    Messing with my daughters iPod nano I recall something about authorizing a computer. Have you watched some of the video tutorials on the apple site?

    Rene, i havent watched the tutorials but i have done alot of reading and nothing seems to work. I think my old one my still be registered with itunes so i cant get the new one to work???? Thats why i unistalled/ reinstalled i tunes.

    Is there any way to find an item pluged into the usb port?

    that what you get for driveing a jeep :D

    only thing i can think of is the usb port might be dead.


    just had this with a friends computer, couldent get his printer to install, the computer beeped when you pluged it in, but would not find the hardware, took it in and all the usb ports were shot :dunno:

    Btw, it doesnt show up under drives in my computer. I have reset the ipod.

    Also the dialouge box that typicly comes up when something is pluged in hasnt been coming up, even for my camera (although my camera still opens up on the comp)

    The thing thats killing me is it did work before, i plug it in and it opened a box asking to look for drivers so idk whats goin on.
